Software Developer
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or in another discipline with a significant programming component or completion of a college program in computer science;
- 3 + years of experience in a software development role.
Duties:
- Write, modify, integrate and test software code for a web-based platform;
- Review the code and perform extensive testing to ensure it is functioning properly;
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements;
- Write documentation for new and updated software.
Agricultural Consultant
Requirements:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in agriculture;
- Eligibility for membership in a provincial institute of agrology.
Duties:
- Conduct research, analyze agricultural data and prepare research reports;
- Operate unmanned aerial vehicle/drone to map drainage, plant seeds, analyze crop health and identify areas of stress;
- Liaise with researchers, educators, government and business managers on matters pertaining to farming and agriculture;
- Provide counselling and advisory services to farmers.
